The Wrong Fight: How New Sex Trafficking Laws are Threatening Sex Education and Therapy – Webinar

Posted on May 20, 2020 at 12:00 am by Elle Stanger / 0

The Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act (FOSTA) and Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act (SESTA) bills were passed in April 2018 and were purported to be an attempt to decrease sex trafficking. But it didn’t. Learn why.

This one-hour webinar is available for purchase on InstituteforSexuality.com

Did you know that your ability to provide comprehensive and inclusive sex education information and/or sex therapy is being restricted and threatened by recent American legislation? The Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act (FOSTA) and Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act (SESTA) bills were passed in April 2018 and were purported to be an attempt to decrease sex trafficking. Instead, they have changed internet liability law, increased deaths for sex workers, removed information and resources from the internet, pushed sex trafficking further underground, and created very serious problems for sex education and sex therapy access.

This program meets the requirements for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for 1 CE credits. These CE credits may be applied toward the AASECT Certification and renewal of certification. Institute for Sexuality Education & Enlightenment, Provider #11-113-C.

Completion of this program does not ensure or guarantee AASECT Certification. For further information please contact ce@aasect.org.
