ONLINE EVENT – Recommendations for HIV Prevention & Care Among People Who Trade Sex
For too long, people in the sex trades have been studied, theorized about, and “served” by people who’ve never walked in our shoes. The Sex Worker Health & Harm Reduction Cohort (SWHHRC) flips the script by putting people with lived experience in the role of experts making public health recommendations.
This webinar will feature participants from the SWHHRC cohort presenting their recommendations for public health programs to advance best practices and policy approaches in sex worker-led HIV prevention, care, and harm reduction. The recommendations were collectively crafted through a six-month process that was produced by the New Moon Network and facilitated by Reframe Health and Justice.
This project has been made possible by ViiV Healthcare’s AMP Positive Action Grant program, for whom New Moon is a recipient. We applaud ViiV for trusting this process and believing in peer leadership, especially at this critical time. ViiV’s support shows what’s possible when philanthropy is willing to share power and put resources directly in the hands of communities.
