Strippers, sex workers, and pole dancers come together this October for five days of learning, dialogue, and celebration.

I’ll be speaking on panel this October 26th, 1-3pm. STAR THEATER!

• We’ll have five speakers on stage at once. Our role as panelists is to speak on topics that are important to the community through the lens of our personal experiences and perspectives. You can imagine the panel as a podcast – each speaker sharing their voice and creating space for the other speakers to add to the topic at hand.

• We will have three groups of panelists that will switch out during each intermission. Some panelist groups will feature returning speakers from previous groups. We’ll curate a list of topics for discussion. We’ll organize our panelist groups based on the topics they have the closest relationship to.

• We will create space for guests to ask questions for elaboration on a topic. There will also be moments for breakout groups of 2-4 people where guests are prompted to speak amongst themselves on a specific topic.

Through immersive workshops, community conversations, and show-stopping performances, the Stripper Summit honors our legacy, expands our artistry, and affirms our power to shape our lives, our work, and the future of our culture!

This October, strippers, sex workers, and pole dancers will gather in Portland, Oregon for a five-day celebration of artistry, community, and empowerment.

Curated in honor of Nirvana’s 10-year anniversary as a pole dancer, the Stripper Summit uplifts the very community that shaped her journey and continues to inspire so many around the world.

What began as a personal milestone has grown into a larger mission: to provide dancers with tools, resources, and perspectives that spark meaningful shifts in how we approach our work, our lives, and our collective future.

The Stripper Summit is a non-profit experience created entirely for the community, by the community. Every dollar raised goes directly to the strippers and sex workers who bring this event to life through workshops and performances. In addition, all donations for the community panel discussion will be gifted to the panelists—honoring their lived experiences, their voices, and the wisdom they share that strengthens our community’s growth and expansion.

WHATS HAPPENING:

Workshops (Oct 26–28) – Three days of immersive learning featuring nine workshops led by current and former strippers who are leaders in the field. Each 90-minute session shares skills, practices, and perspectives that support both professional dancers in the club and civilian movers in their artistic expression.

Workshops can be attended in-person as well as online. Each participant receives a recording whether they make it to the live session or not!

Community Panel (Oct 29) – A 3-hour gathering for dialogue, reflection, and connection featuring 10-15 panelist speakers who are leaders in their community! Panelists and participants will explore solution-based conversations around the realities of our work, lives, and community—focusing on growth, resilience, and collective empowerment. Breakout groups will create space for more intimate exchanges and community building!

We’ll have a curated array of vendors who provide:

• educational materials and/or services related to finances, law, healthcare, childcare, therapy, etc.

• massage and bodywork resources, tools, and/or services

• dance wear, dance related clothing and/or heels

• crafts, jewelry, and/or accessories

The community panel is a donation based event intended to provide accessibility to the conversations that truly make an impact! All donations are gifted to the panelist speakers who lead this experience! We invite you to come explore the vendors, connect with one another, and listen to insightful perspectives on important topics within our community.

The Stripper Showcase (Oct 30) – A powerful evening of performance featuring 22 dancers
— including local and traveling strippers, and special guests from Nirvana’s community!

Since the very beginning, stripping has been at the heart of pole dance—shaping its technique, its aesthetic, and its culture. This showcase honors the artistry, power, and presence of strippers, transforming the stage into a space of deep reverence and celebration.

Everyone in the pole community is invited—strippers, sex workers, civilian dancers, and anyone who loves this movement.
